Oregon on the Bay is a City of Opportunity. Located just east of Toledo, Oregon rests on the western edge of Lake Erie and because of this has many scenic vistas including the beautiful Maumee Bay State Park. Oregon’s location makes it a boaters’ and fisherman’s haven with easy access to the water and to the Lake Erie Islands.  Consisting of 27 square miles, Oregon is the sixth largest city in Ohio by geography and yet has a very home town feel to it, with nearly 20,000 residents.

Some of the reasons Oregon is Northwest Ohio’s best kept secret are:  Pearson Metropark, two high schools (Clay Senior High School and Cardinal Stritch High School), two hospitals (St. Charles and Bay Park Hospital), and city owned water and treatment facilities which mean lower costs for residents.

BP/Husky and Sun Oil Refineries have long provided great paying jobs and are excellent community partners.

The City of Oregon Parks and Recreation has been a shining example in Northwest Ohio and one of the reasons are the facilities. Located in the heart of town adjacent to the Municipal Buildings, children of all ages spend countless summer hours outdoors and “under the lights” enjoying various sporting events.
